Matthew 18:5
I spent countless hours with my pops in a truck. We would drive to training sessions, camps, school visits and many more football-related activities. During the course of our drives, we would often talk about ways I could use my platform to honor the Lord. After discussing many worthwhile needs, I kept coming back to adoption. You see my parents decided to get into foster care when I was about 7 years old. I didn’t know what to expect, but two adoptions and 10 years later, I’ve been blessed as much by two sisters as my two sisters have been by my family.
In 2017, we welcomed Olivia and finished adoption in 2019. In 2020, right before the world shut down, we took Lydia home. In 2022, Lydia’s adoption was finalized. Both had different paths and both have different relationships, but both have blessed me and help mold me into the young man I am today.
God adopted me and through the convictions he gave my parents, changed my life. I just want to help others and give them the same opportunity to receive the same blessing.
